Independence Day

On July 4th, our tradition is to head over to Odessa's Independence Day Parade.

It normally feels like 120 degrees on the parade route, but this year it was overcast and about 80 degrees. Very nice.
We look so thrilled, don't we?

Is this guy a recycler...

or a homeless man?

Note the sleeping pig.

This green poodle reminds me of a B-52's song.

"Hey Robert!" shouts Jay Hendricks, Robert's buddy in the media.

The horses come last...

including this painted one...

...for obvious reasons.

We headed home to Kermit in time to see our hometown fireworks show. We sat virtually on the porch of Liz's classroom for a great view.
