Liz finished her Teacher Certification Program yesterday afternoon about 4 p.m. She had to give a 15-minute presentation with Power Point, and prepare a professional portfolio containing her resume, letters of reference, test scores, homework assignments, certificates earned, etc. She has put in a lot of work, and it has finally paid off. She found out Wednesday that her contract has been renewed for next year; however, there is some question as to what grade she will be teaching (she's certified to teach pre-Kindergarten through grade 4). Needless to say, she is happy (and exhausted!). I am planning a surprise ice cream social for her at our church next Sunday (April 27) to celebrate her "graduation". Sunday, April 20, 2008

Congratulations are in order!
I hope she doesn't read your blog, otherwise the ice cream social won't be a surprise!
And yet another note of congrats for Liz. May her tribe increase.
